  1. rushed action. When one is "in a hurry" (adverbial phrase) it means one is doing things quickly and often impatiently.

Verb

  1. To do things quickly. (e.g. He's hurrying because he's late.)
  2. To speed up the rate of doing something. (e.g. ''If you don't hurry you wont finish on time.)
